I got the rear floor patch done on the driver side ,i still need the 3/4 inch flange so the wheel tub can be welded in place ,hopefully tomorrow this side will be done
A sneak peak!
Only sitting in place and it already fits good ! I have to drill the little filler pieces out of the quarter window because as usual they are in the wrong place ,but thats no big deal ,if the rest fits like this is is going to easily align !
I did some after turkey worky !
Rear floor is done ,so is the passenger side wheel tub and the trunk divider . Now i have to finish the front floor because it will be hard to get in and out if the roof is on
Working on getting the tar out of the floor ,sand from my blaster would just bounce off of it .
They took the old sound matts and glued them with the tar making it even harder to remove ,i hope i can scrape the sound matts off and wipe the tar off with gas ,then the blaster can do its job . Back floors look good with just a light surface rust ,although the passenger rear floor does have a small place that will need a patch
Front floors are coated with what must be flex seal ...hey they built a boat with a screen door on the bottom and it floats! It is also covered with tar on top of that ,i got a nice big blister and one skinned knuckle so far!
Just a quick clamp together and everything is exactly where it is supposed to be ,there will not be any problems here . And you will not believe how solid it is just with a few clamps holding it together
Old Leeroy fired right up this morning ,been sitting almost a year, not bad since he was made in 1953 for the US Army ! He's ready to start blasting ,got the blaster ready to go . Have to get the floor blasted and primed today .
Is that one of the compressors that has an engine driven compressor or the style where one or more of the cylinders makes pressure through a modified head?
Both ,it is big 4 cylinder that runs on two cylinders and the other two are the compressor ,it also turns a genarator that some day i would like to hook up again . Someone was trying to wire somthing in and didnt reconnect the wireing and i dont have a diagram to hook it back up . It puts out 130 psi and runs a constant 80 psi
Got the floor blasted ,couldnt get all the tar out but i did manage to get rid of the rust . Also found the top of passenger side torque box is rotted out ,good thing i have several new tops here i never needed before.
